Hi guys:wave:, I'm new to all this so be gentle pleae...

Just a few shots that I've taken out and about to see what you think.
I've had no training or instruction, so find it hard to spot things that are wrong/right in a photo. Help is appreciated.

I'm looking forward to learning more about photography!!

I always use imageshack myself mate for hosting images.

Really nice photos you have there mate! Love the night time harbour shot, the abstract created on the reflection is just gorgeous :)

Welcome to TalkPhotography, I hope you are finding your way round ok.

Nice pics however your night shot is pretty noisey. I would check to make sure your ISO is not on Auto and set it to around 200. You can then manually adjust should you need to..
I use Photobucket for forums, but am a member of Flickr too...

Thanks guys, I need to learn what ISO does and where to find it! I understand it is to do with noise in photographs but have no idea as to the drawbacks/disadvantages of high or low ISO

I'm just starting editing my shots so cannot offer much

in the first one .... BTW it helps to number the shots
see her right shoulder is overexposed and her face is in shadow

I would seat her facing the sun but take the exposure reading from her face

also this means she is looking "into" the frame

Welcome to the forum Chris, ISO relates to the sensitivity to light of the sensor. the lower the number the less sensitive it is but also the less noise produced. The higher the number the more sensitive to light the sensor is and more noise you will see. Always try use the lowest iso setting you can get away with.
