New Lens 70-300mm

Hi all, I'm looking at getting a new lens for my D5000, something with a bit of zoom for better wildlife pictures. My budget is unfortunately quite low, but have spotted a couple.

I've been looking at the Sigma 70-300mm, and also the Tamron 70-300mm. These are both advertised as macro lenses though, and I was wondering if these would still be suitable for what I am looking for from them? Or are they for the sole purpose of Macro photography?

I would also appreciate if anybody has used or is currently using one of these lenses, they could give me their opinion? Or perhaps you know of something else which I could look at?

I have a Tamron 70-300, and for the price it is very good. It is not a dedicated Macro lens.
