Yes
for xmas my wife has bought me a sigma 120-400mm lens which im hoping to use for bird photography what i wanted to know is what would be good settings for a starting point ie if selecting apperture priority would i need to select auto for the iso settings or is it better to select shutter priority i realise you will need a fast shutter for some shots.
i havent had chance to play around yet but maybe someone could point me in the right direction.
btw this lens is coupled to a nikon d300.
regards
clive.

Aperture priority.

Set the aperture at F8.

Set auto ISO max 1600, min shutter speed 500 for static subjects, 2000 for BIF.

Rough guide only, see how you go on.
