ok, as you may have read in another thread i've had a sigma 50mm f1.4.
it's a lovely lens, but it's kind of gone wrong. i've finally got authorisation to return it (looking at the box now, it does have a huge great big dent on the corner so my suspicion is that it took a knock in the post).
anyway, i'll have a few quid back in my mitts and i'm in a position to add a few more quid to get something else if necessary.
so, what do i do?
1) buy another 50mm either risk it and go for a sigma again or get a canon one.
2) get the ef 70-200 f2.8 (non is). not far off 50mm at the short end and great for kids and a walkaround.
3) look at another prime. maybe the 85 f1.8 or something a bit wider? 35 1.4?
4) go for something completely different entirely.
i reckon i could go for a total spend of around £950.
i mainly shoot portraits of my children/families + a few nature shots etc.
i only have the 135 f/2 at present.
i think i know what i want now, and it's option 2. but i could be swayed. by something awesome. the flexibility of a fast zoom with kids running around has a certain appeal. i often find myself clipping hands and feet of shots because i can't move and re-frame in time. i need/love good bokeh.
help!
