New nikon D5 announced

What i can't discover is about the sound recording on it. On my Nikon D300 if you turn off the camera mike it also turns off an extrnl mike plugged in as well. Not a very well thought out design.

From all the blurb on this new nikon D5 camera that issue is not mentioned. Hopefully it is now rectified, but I doubt it
