I'm in a good mood today :)

I just ordered the parts for my new base unit:

Coolermaster Praetorian 732 aluminium case
Hiper 580W Type R PSU
DFI Lanparty UTnF4 Ultra-D motherboard
Athlon 64 4200x2 CPU
2Gb Corsair XMS RAM
2 x 250Gb SATA II Hard drives
512mb Radeon X1900XTX Graphics card
Dual Layer DVDRW

Working in the computer industry is bad for your wallet!

I've not upgraded my PC's for years now, other than diskspace. I don't play FPS online games anymore so I don't need to spend £300 every 2 months on the latest bleeding edge graphics card or CPU and brick sized hs&f

Just upgraded mine. I'm pretty well cutting edge for at least a couple of weeks. :D

Not really, there doesn't seem any reason to go there just yet.

sounds a nice spec system, built myself an all singing and dancing system last year, it feels old and slow now!!! thinking about a partial upgrade again...

I've already sold my current base unit to a friend so I'm afraid it is all spoken for already :)

As for ATi instead of NVidia...

I'm not bothering going SLI so as a single card Ati > Nvidia for quality...

just as Canon > Nikon :D :D
