New Sigma 120-300 F2.8 DG OS and teleconverters

I guys, been wanting to get back into an F2.8 300mm lens for a while now since selling my beloved Nikon earlier this year. Trouble is, I can't afford to buy a new Nikon 300mm F2.8 VR II as it's just out of my price range.

Been looking at the new Sigma 120-300mm (Sport series), and from what I can glean from the on-line reviews etc., optically it seems to be within 10-15% of the Nikkor, which will do for me, but at nearly half the price.

The question is, do these newer Sigma lenses only take Sigma converters or will they accept the Nikon series. I ask as I already own the TC-14E, TC-17E and the TC-20E III, and don't really want to purchase new converters specifically for this lens.

Anyone use one of these and knows please ?
 
I was looking at the sigma 120-300 os a few months but partially what stopped me was needing new sigma teleconverters (I was keeping a nikon 70-200 f2.8 too). Nikon teleconverters don't fit this sigma lens as far as I could find out. I'm sure there will be someone on here that has this lens that could help you further. It's supposed to be a great lens, if you can purchase sigma teleconverters it could be the lens you are looking for.
 
sigma lens = sigma tele
Nikon lens = Nikon tele
I have the 120-300 (non os) with a 2 x convertor - I did notice some shake - serves me right for handhold @1/800th... but I'm still getting used to it.
The Sigma Tele I think is better than Nikons version (although haven't yet tried the 2 x mk 111) only the 1.7
 
You will get a s/hand mint sig 2 x convertor for £100-£150..

Try & get a Nikon 2 x Mk111 for under £300....
