New software.

[Merc]

Have found this http://blogs.zdnet.com/weblife/?p=965 and personally i don't like the idea of it. Amazing software granted but kind of takes all the devotion and skill out of it.

Pah! Sounds like a heap of absurdity. Whats the point?

[Harvey_nikon]

it'll probably be used for things like story boards for films etc or people messing about.

I can't see it ever getting to the point of replacing photos due to problems with shadows and other such technical issues.

The bit that we should be worried about is the fact it's using "internet" images to comp together, whose images exactly?

[Harvey_nikon]

I suppose it depends if it uses free image sites as libraries or just googles images

I jokingly said to a pro tog earlier today that they'll soon develop a bit of software that you tell it what you want and it makes it for you, I said it as a joke I never realised that it existed!!

Well about 20 years ago when the Disney film "Tron" came out an article in a magazine said that it would probably take about 10-15 years before they could generate create films where the actors were digitally generated.

And that's already been one in adverts in a small way.

Just remember "The Matrix" films.

Do you ever get the feeling there's something wrong with the universe - lol.
