Torn between these two lenses, currently have an A6300 so no built in IS and have the 30mm Sony OSS as my only lens but I want more reach.

The Sigma Used is about £50 more than a brand New Sony.

Is the Sigma noticeably better?
Reviews suggest the AF is a little quicker and some say the AF on the Sony is very slow but I’m wondering if the OSS will be more valuable than the extra stop the Sigma provides.

I do take quite a few indoor shots and a fair amount in lower/evening light.

thanks

Thanks all. The Sigma it is then!
Guess if I don’t use it as much as I thought I could sell it on for what I paid for it.

I think this is a criticism of the FE 50 f/1.8 - IE The Full Frame 50mm lens, rather than the APS-C 50 f/1.8 OSS - certainly I've not noticed any issues with focus speed on my copy (with A6000).

You're right.
