Well the other day i got my studio set up, for free may i add from the princes trust, after doing their business course they offered me a grant :)

I chose to get the lencarta SmartFlash Twin Softbox Starter Kit Which is brilliant, great service too!

anyway here are some of my first pics, obviously i have a lot to learn but got to start somewhere, its a totally new genre for me!

Well you seem to have spent the money wisely. I'm not an expert by any means but I like what you have produced here, I'm sure those with more knowledge will be able to offer some advice and guidance but I just wanted to say well done, good start.

A terrific set. My fav's would be the last guy shot. Great feel to that one. And the first shot of the young lady. I love the light, the processing, the pose and the open space.

#6 is my fave. I like the shadow you have created.

Some good work there, Will, the different lighting setups used are excellent, you spent the Prince's trust money wisely!
 
thanks guy, just started my new job today so all mad! i will however tmo night get the exif data etc and show how i had the lighting :) also using 400d, and kit lens (18-55)
 
I am very Curious as I am thinking maybe something is not right with my camera (whivch I have thought several times but never actually got round to confirming)
