i have been following the news of the soon TBA in the u.k tamron 150-600 lens with interest as it fills a gap ,hopefully will be priced right and comes from a developing manufacturer ,hopefully it will make canon ,nikon and sigma sit up and take notice .up till now most shots have been hard to follow on japanese sites ,but i added a chap on flickr today thats using one and its looking good to my eyes anyway ,heres the link.

Not looking at buying one myself but be interesting to see what the main reviews and the DXO marks think of the lens when the in depth test reports come out for the lens specially what 600mm is like...

Says 150-600mm on the EXIF?

Certainly a good zoom range, will be very interesting to see UK prices. (less than £900?)

Bit of a difficult one for me. I have the Sigma 50-500mm OS (which really is an excellent lens) but the extra 100mm would be really handy a lot of the time. Problem is I often use to 50-150mm on the Sigma and I would have to trade one for the other. The 50-500mm is also great for "macro" shots as it's min focus distance and max magnification are both better than the Tamron. I notice the Tamron has a focus limiter.

First I've heard of this lens

I see it's f5 - 6.3

Any idea what it is around 400mm ?
