I'm after a replacement for my 1Dmk2, I don't think I will be doing as much motorsport photography next year, I'll be hoping to do more landscape and travel photography, but knowing me there will be the odd bit of action photography too. I am not all that fussed about video.
My budget can just about stretch to £1k, but less would be better. With that budget the 5Dmk2 is out of range, as that probably would have been the obvious choice. So I'm thinking 5Dmk1 (and some cash left over) or a 7D.
The 5D is full frame, but will the better AF/sensor cleaning/more MP mean that the 7D will almost match/beat the image quality (I know DoF will be shallower on the 5D for a given framing) of the 5D?
Also how does the high ISO performance of the 7D compare to the 5D?
Or does anyone know where I can get a cheap 5Dmk2?
