New Travel Tripod

I currently have a 055Pro and a Giottos GB1060 tripod but both have their issues travel wise. The 055Pro I've taken on holiday a couple of times but at over 2kg and 70ishcm in length it's massive and only just fits in my travel bag, let alone using it when I'm on holiday itself... The Giottos on the other hand is tiny (800g and around 40cm when stored) but only goes up to 60cm from the floor, great, with some caveats, for hiking trips, not so good for general holidays... So i'm looking for something in-between, which will probably end up being used as my go to tripod for most occasions out of the house as well.

I've been looking at the Manfrotto 190CXPro model which seems pretty good, at around 1.3kg and around 50-58cm folded but was wondering if there were any other models I should be looking at. Now I'd love a Gitzo traveller or something like that but they are rather expensive...

The other issue with the 190CXPro is that it's max load limit is fairly low, I'm thinking about going on safari next spring and may get a 120-300 f/2.8 to go with the D7000 so may use it on this tripod on occasion (but I will probably be using it handheld/on a monopod or a beanbag. That's pretty near the limit, although I'm guessing not too much of a problem if I use OS and shoot at faster shutter speeds.

On a slightly different note head wise I currently have a 484RC2 ball head for travel and an 808RC4 that stays on the 055Pro. Am I likely to struggle with these heads with the 120-300 f/2.8?

Any help would be appreciated, especially on the lightweight travel support issue!:D

Thanks, I'm actually currently just looking at benro, some of the kit, like the C1580F look quite interesting, haven't got down to the Travel Angel series yet but am having some issues trying to find places to buy them in the UK at least. Thanks for the link.
