New tutorial - Choosing your type of light source

Good tutorial Garry (y) It should really replace Tyke Tiler's sticky thread Which Flash System? from 2010 which is now way out of date.

In the same vein, I think it's fair to say though that this is a fast-moving sector these days and things will change (if they haven't already). In particular, good quality LEDs are likely to get both better and cheaper, and battery technology is helping to deliver portable high-power flash heads that are more than a match for many mains-powered units (eg Godox).
 
You've made a valid point, and it may become outdated very quickly.

Good components already exist, it just needs manufacturers to use them and to compete on quality instead of on price and market share.
