I thought that title would get your attention :D anyway, i was wondering if anyone knew if there is to be an upgrade to the D700 anytime soon, or are their any rumours flying about ? :)
 
More likely to be a higher res sensor in a D700 body a la D3/D3x to sit alongside rather than replace.

The D700 hasn't been out a year yet.

I already am :lol: although it looks like the £ maybe getting stronger so that may help on the price of new ones ;)
 
My guess? October announcement "D700x / D800" or whatever it'll be called, shipping late November.

Can't see the D700 itself being replaced for ages though (mind you "ages" is relative in DSLR terms)

They might even pull another con trick and increase the D700 price to make the D700x seem like better value like they did with the D3X - they put up the D3 by £800 to narrow the D3X price gap :)

In other words, just buy one now :)
