New Walk Around Lens

Hi,

I am looking to replace my trusty Sigma 17-70 DC macro HSM walk around lens.

Of course I could just get the the next model up the 17-70 OS HSM.
However are there any suitable alternatives ?

Canon 15-85 is a good walk round, but it may also depend what other lenses you have, for example if you have a wide angle to cover say the 10-20 range or thereabouts then perhaps a Canon 24-105

The 17-55 2.8 canon is an awesome lens. The focal length you give up is nothing compared to the speed and image quality you gain.

I have heard that the Canon 17-55 is a great sharp lens and seems to be APS version of a L lens !
