New XF90mm f/2 has something loose inside

I can't imagine anything moving inside a lens is a good sign, I'd be taking/sending it back asap [emoji19]

Not sure if its the same thing but I had a Sigma 70-300 OS lens that rattled and was fine when the powered up - turns out it was the optical stabilizer gyro and apparently normal.

As above, my Sigma 60mm does the same thing.

My micro four thirds version does exactly this. As soon as it's attached to a powered up body there's no rattling.

I 've read about this in many forums and reviews. Seems to be normal and related to the magnetic system inside the lens. It is only noticeable when the camera is turned off

yes my canon L macro rattles until its mounted and switched on then all is gone
