New York Lens Choices.. Advice!

I'm heading to New York in a few weeks. I've had great advice regarding tripod use and locations.

But now my lens choice is proving difficult...

I have a Canon 7d Mkii and plenty of CF & SD cards at the ready.. Read a lot of recommendations on here, but most seem aimed at FF cameras.

My lens choices are and I'm happy to consider purchasing another if needs be;

Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6
Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6
Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6
Tamron 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5

Using a messenger bag, so space for 2/3 lenses with the camera.

I'm sort of leaning towards the 24mm / 15-85 / 10-24 combination.... But suggestions welcome.

I'd go with the 15-85 and the 10-24.

Having been to New York I think that you should take the widest as you will need that, the 15-85 for the extra range and perhaps the 24mm as well if it is sharper than your 10-24 or 15-85. The widest for street views and the 15-85 if you go on boat trips to the statue of Liberty or around the isle of Manhatten. I am not too sure about the tripod - I never found the need and it is one crowded city. A tripod might be difficult to use safely.

I would go 15-85 and the 24mm should pretty much cover everything!

I was there recently and 98% of my keepers were shot with a FF equivalent of 24-80 f/2.8.

The only time I needed wider was at ground zero.

15-85 covers the 24, ergo 24 prime isn't required.

A great choice... might want to add 50mm for and low light stuff or portraits. All depends what sort of things you are planning on taking pics of other than the city scape.

Looking forward to going back at some point.

Thanks for all the responses, very much appreciated. I'm not one for taking portrait pics, it will be the usual building stuff, life going on, skyline, night shots etc etc.

I'm not stupid enough not to know that 24 falls between 15 and 85 as I'm sure 99% of people reading this forum aren't but thanks for pointing it out anyway.

The reason I included it is I would never go on a trip without at least two lenses and I find that a light weight fastish prime compliments a walk about zoom well and could in a push cover most shots of the walk about fails. My preferred full frame combination is a 24-105mm and a 35mm and of the OP's lenses the two I chose fall closest to this pairing.
