Hey!
The most useful thing I think I can suggest is to just have a go at as much as you can! As you look around this forum, see the different types of photography that goes on here, and have a go at what you can. For instance, a while ago I saw some long exposure work, and decided to do some myself-so after some trial and error and talking to people who know more about that subject than I do, I managed to end up with something I'm quite proud of!
