Newbie first post

Hi all,
Have just recently got into photography and bought a Canon 400D about 2 weeks ago.
I've been snapping here and there and these are photos which I'm relatively happy about. Let me know what you think.

The flower shot is colourful, nice and sharp too, a bit busy though.
Nice depth of field on the leaf shot, looking forward to seeing what else you do with your new acquisition.

Hi Susane, yeah these are the same pics from OcUK, they are the only shots out of all the ones I've taken that I'm happy with lol. Been bit busy atm so haven't had time to go take any new shots. I'm thinking of getting a Canon 50m f1.8 for some portraits and maybe a tripod to take some night shots too.
