On saturday i had my first time at goodwood, it was also my first proper attempt at motorsports photography. I bought a D7000 earlier in the year, it is my first SLR, finally starting to get my head round how to use it.

Ended up taking close to 900 pictures which im happy to keep, i was genuinely shocked by how many pictures i managed to fire off in a single day, i obviously had lots of fun, any way here are my pictures, be gentle :)

Thanks :) I was using my 70-300 VRII, really happy with it, its a cracking lens.
 
Hi James,

You've done well here, particularly for a first real attempt at motorsport photography. I like #2 with the tyre marks leading up to the car and nicely lit dust behind it. #3 & #4 are good with plenty of dust and flying gravel (might be a bit better if the cars weren't quite so central) and the photo of Sir Stirling Moss is a really nice capture.
