Hello
As the title says really, im new to photograpy and have decided to buy a used nikon d5100 after some research I think ive got 4 lenses in mind that from what I can gather are a good place to start, these are

Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX Macro

Nikon AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G

Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 VR

Nikon AF-S DX 35mm f1.8G

I cant afford them all at once so am thinking the nikon 18-55 and the nikon 55-200mm gives me some scope to get started.
What are your thoughts ?

I'm not a Nikon guy - I shoot Canon, but I think you've got it spot on - I'd certainly recommend the 18-55 kit lens and 55-250IS (Canon lens) - I presume the Nikon lens is the equivalent - for a start off in Photography - I did just this the other day to a colleague that was looking to start off. Then see which way your photography takes you as to what lens to buy / upgrade etc.

My other bit of advice, enjoy your purchase and don't worry about having no money left - it continues on as you upgrade etc in the future :D
