newbie needs filter help

hi all chap from the pub who used to be into photography gave me a few filters i was looking for some help on what i need to use them on my nikon d3100 18-55 lens thanks.

the round one has lines on it think its to do with stars any help would be great

They look like Cokin a copies, so you'll need a Cokin A holder and a lens adapter to fit the filter thread on the lens, which I believe is 52mm, but look on the back of the lens cap and it will tell you.

The round one looks a bit like Cokins polariser, but can't tell for sure from that photo.

You need to measure them & get a relevant holder/adaptor from Amazon/eBay as said ^^

Obviously their main use will be landscapes/coastal
