Hi everyone. Newbie here in need of some advice...

I have been given a tripod that is missing the quick release plate. The only writing on the tripod is "PRO VIDEO". I don't know if this is the brand, model or neither.
My question is, how do I find a replacement plate? I've taken it into my local photography shop with no joy.
Any advice would be appreciated :help:

What about posting a pic on here...you never know...
Also, is there any writing on the legs or on the clips, worth a look.
Also, any barcode or anything any where?

Thanks for the reply.
Here's a pic as requested

The only writing on the legs is the label you can see, which is on each of the three legs.
There are no barcodes anywhere, and no other writing.

Hi & welcome.

Looking at that I'd say it was a tripod that comes with its own plastic plate as it looks like an inexpensive model, rather than one where you buy seperately. If that's missing then I'd say you'd be looking at getting another (more decent) set of legs. Or you can get a similar Hama tripod from Argos for about £30. Personally I'd see if you can buy a used Manfrotto or something.
