Newbie wanna buy

Hi - am new to this but after seeing the quality of some people's photos on the net am v interested in a DSLR to start snapping away myself

Am interested in buildings, people, cars and arty stuff

Have around £500 to spend to get me going and am not averse to second hand if in v good nick

Have read around and will prob go for Canon - any recommendations/what to avoid/look out for would be most welcome

probally asked that in the wrong area but best thing everyone always says go into a local shop and try the diffrent body and get the one with the best feel
but you dont have to buy from that shop

Hi and welcome to the forum, as to buying your first DSLR, your first reply gives sound advice as it has to feel right in your hands, before I bought my first DSLR I narrowed it down to the 350D but after handling it in Jessops went for a s/h 30D.

Thanks for the welcomes... and yes, the 450 is top of the list at the moment - had a look at a few today - although also liked the Nikon too which was about £120 cheaper
