A view of the Surrey beauty spot in today's poor light.
I hadn't been past this place in a long time and had to stop to take a few pictures despite the glumness of the weather.
A bit too enhanced, of course, but I hope it will inspire someone living closer to this wonderful view to get up there on a better day.

My only recollection of Newlands Corner was it was windswept with a terrific view in clear weather from the top of the Downs and an absolutely cracking cafe just before the east bound corner.

We live quite nearby but now go less often because of the parking charges

I took this one of the Oil Seed Rape fields back in 2014

Ah! I wasn't aware of that but is it permanent? Will have to check it out at some time soonish

Were I live (Durham) a lot of the parking charges were suspended or eased during the lockdown but they are now coming back into play. Apart from a few coastal resorts in Northumberland all parking charges have been permanently suspended and were before the covid19.
