Hi all
Just need a bit of advice
I am considering buying a CSC- looked at a few and like the NEX 6.
Any thoughts on this? I want to replace my Nikon D300 had it for 3 years and will sell it on once I get my CSC, only changing as I don’t use the Nikon due to size
I want something that is fast to operate and focus- seems like the HEX6 has everything I might need, any other models you might want to recommend?
Also looked at buying from Panamoz- anyone had any bad experiences? Or good?

Adrian

NEX lenses are lacking but the bodies/sensor are nice, worth checking out the Oly OMD.

+1 for the omd with regards to pananoz ordered from them twice recently and no problems and tina at panamoz is a member on here.

Yoy may also want to look at hdew again decent company and they also give 3 year warranty.

Nex cameras have great image quality, but I think you will find the AF speed rather slow coming from a dslr. You may or may not also have issues with the lack of controls vs a dslr and using an evf instead of an ovf.

I am not a fan of the OMD ergonomics or looks personally, but it's a great camera inside and probably a better choice for someone used to a dslr.

M43 lens selection is also better than Nex if you are thinking of adding primes or fast zooms to your kit, although the Nex selection is slowly improving and it's an excellent camera for use with legacy lenses (old manual focus only slr lenses). You specified quick to operate and focus though so the manual focus legacy lens route is probably not one you want to go down. :D M43 and Nex lenses tend to be a bit pricier than dslr equivalents though.

You could also look at Panasonic m43 cameras - G5, GH2, GH3 if you want a dslr style design or GX1 if you want a rangefinder style body. The OMD and all the Panasonics have an evf like the Nex 6 does, apart from the GX1 which has the ability to attach an optional external evf.

If you are happy buying from abroad then also compare prices with OneStopDigital, Digital Rev and hdew as suggested.

Can't help you with the camera but I can confirm that Panamoz are a highly regarded, reliable and give fast service. I've bought around half a dozen large value items since january and have never had a problem with Panamoz. I'm currently in the process of returning a lens under warranty and they were fast getting in touch with the info for returns.
