Next Fuji body upgrade..

Hi guys

I'm currently using a Fuji X-E2 which has really served me well for a good few years but the time has come for an upgrade to the body.

I do not think I need the newest and greatest for the photography I enjoy (Street, family, landscape, general travel) but I'd like to future proof my body as much as possible so I can spend any spare cash on lenses and travel over the next few years. I will be retaining the X-E2 as a second body and I also have an old x-a1 which the wife uses.

Video is less of a concern but auto focus speed and accuracy is important to me.

Happy to buy used or new.

Any advice is welcome. Fuji has released so many bodies since I first bought my X-E2!

Thanks

Costa

A lot of used X-T2's around and at cracking prices due to Fuji dropping the price in the refurb store.

:plus1: I love my T2, and have no reason to change it.

I'd say a X-T3, used/secong hand or from the Fuji refurb store you'll pay around £900 ish, or for a bargain bang for your buck a X-T2, I recently bought one from the Fuji refurb store for £449.

These two bodies I mention must be the leading contenders Fuji X wise.

Thanks all. The Fuji refurb is sold out of the xt2 at £449 which is understandable. Does anyone have any experience with the xt30?

I'd be tempted to hang on until the end of the month - may be some deals on Black Friday.

I bought a couple of X-T2s from Camera Jungle last week, huge bang for buck at £410.

No need to stretch to a X-T3 in my opinion, the X-T2 is firmly part of the newer wave of Fuji cameras with significantly improved speed and AF compared to the early models.

The X-T20 is also great value, essentially the guts of an X-T2 in a cheaper body.

I've recently used E-infinity to purchase four Fuji lenses, excellent to deal with, hassle free.

Thank you all for all the advice. I'm currently checking out my options on Camera Jungle and E-finity. I have a trip to Berlin next week so although waiting till Black Friday is sensible advice, I'd really like to try out my new camera when I go!

I'd love the X-T3 but that would wipe me out and my head is telling me to pick up a new lens and an X-T2 or X-T30 for similar money. I think I've narrowed it down to these two. Now to decide whether the faster auto focus and newer sensor outweighs a nicer feeling camera to use. I'm not overly concerned about weather sealing but I did really like the larger EVF and better feel in the hand on the XT range.

I have an X-T2, which I think is great, however as the original post mentions future proofing, rather than dual card slots and weather sealing etc, I’ll suggest X-T30.

I bought an Xt2 a few weeks back. Swapped over from a Nikon D750 and a half ton of Nikon glass. Happy as can be. The Xt2 is a bargain even at new price, let alone 2nd hand. I prefer the handling to the Xt20 but that’s just personal preference. Enjoy Berlin btw. Great city, I’ve been there four times. :)

Thank you. I've been before but I always look forward to a visit, It's one of my favourite European cities. Classic Chrome/ B&W heaven...
