Hey guys,

Just wondered if anyone on here has had experience with the nikon 50mm f1.4G on a D60?

I'm planning to get one in the very near future pending the sale of my sigma 28-300(sorry for plugging it in here) and I'd like to find out how it handles on the D60.

If anyone has one and has any photos taken with it, I'd really love to see them, I've heard so many good things about this lens and it's quality where images are concerned.

Thanks

lee

For photos why not go to pbase.com or Flicker and enter the lens name in the search box....loads of images!

I love my fifty, particularly in low light and its worth springing for the model that will autofocus of your d60. Plus who knows when that extra .4 will come in handy?

What are you planning to use the lens for?

I was planning on getting into portraits and using it as a general walkabout lens, some of the results I've seen are stunning... Albeit the photographers are way more talented and using better cameras than I ever could be

It should balance well on a D60 and would be better in this respect than the alternative (larger) Sigma.

Reports from people having tried both suggest the Sigma is maybe optimised a little more for wider apertures while the Nikon is perhaps more general purpose.

Only tried the Nikon myself but liked it.

Right, minds made up, f1.4 it is... Just need to shift my sigma lens then it's game on
