Nifty Fifty

Just curious to know - is it only the Canon lens that is referred to as nifty fifty or do other brands pick up the tag too?

Only the Canon 50mm 1.8 mkII, its also known as the plastic fantastic but less often as that.
If your talking of the earlier one people will say nifty mkI (metal mount)
