Night and Day

I am very new to photography, but those 2 pictures are inspirational!
 
I am definitely going to have to get some ND filters!

Quick question though.. How do you work out the exposure time when using these filters? Or is it just trial and error..? Either way those pictures have worked out beautifully.! Well done

I use a iPhone app called longtime. Still a little trial and error in there but it gives you a good starting point.
 
The reflection reall makes the night one. The top of the bridge however is right at the top of the bridge, a bit more space above would help. It would look even better in blue hour.

The long exp is a bit flat and sadly lacks that IMHO crucual reflection.
 
The night time one & reflection is great - nice timing to get the river fairly still and presumably right on the tide turning.

Getting a still day down there and low tide coinciding nicely with blue hour would take some doing!
