Hi All

I have a 450d and was out in telford taking Moonbeam rally pics over sat night

the standard flash does not do a bad job but i am wandering would a flash on my camera help?

Also, is it better to do night pics with out the auto focus??

Any Advice would help

thanks

Phil

If you were to use an external flash you would do a lot better as they have a much higher power output - and the Canon modesl at least come with an AF assist bean which helps the auto focus if you use it.

The ideal is to use one or two external flashes set off the camera and fired wirelessley - the reason for this is if you have the flash on the camera then there is a good chance that you will get huge reflections back from the number plate. With the flash off camera by a few feet this will happen much less.

Hiya

Yes, it would help - I believe that flash can be adjusted using the flash exposure compensation on your 450D.
I've never used that flash mind, maybe someone who has will poke their head in and give a view.

Cheers

i just looked at a cheap one just to see what improvement it could do

but i check the instructions about the flash adjustment

tar dude
