Night shots in Deepcut

I tried out some long exposures a couple of nights ago. Still not got a remote trigger, and forgot to set the timer so there is some camera shake - but quite pleased with how the sky's look. Hoping that the clear night forecast for Sunday is true and i'll go back and try again to get something a little sharper. Any comments gratefully received though.

Are there not normally signs around these places saying 'No Photography allowed blah blah Official Secrets act blah blah'?

Not that I saw - but then it was dark. I live nearby so will walk by tomorrow to check!

Anyway, returning to photographic matters I really like photograph number 2 with the very dark sky punctuated by the stars, I think the razor wire adds impact to the foreground detail. This image would look good in a dark grey mount.

Thanks for your comment. Barracks are open till 2016 I believe.

Agree the barbed wire works well. I didn't actually know there was wire there until after taking shot 1 I decided to try and get closer to the water tower and found my way blocked!

Re mounting and Borders I hope to do something in the new year when I get PS etc.
