Nikkor 14-24 f2.8

Well i'm off to go and collect my 14-24 in a mo, and cannot wait. Unfortunately i only have my d300s at the moment, but this lens will complete my holy trinity, and in the next few months i will be purchasing either a D700, or D3s. Anyone else out there got one of these lenses? what are your thoughts on it? any pictures taken with it that you can post up for me? Has anyone got one of the Lee Filter kits that are made specifically for this lens? If so, any comments on the build quality, etc?

Need to get the full frame camera soon to make the most of it, congratulations anyway.

I am wondering what the best way to make the transition to full frame is other than a wholesale change which would be horrendously expensive so decided to only purchase lenses that will be suitable for full frame when I buy the camera either at the end of the year or early next unless I win the lottery

This is what I'm trying to do. Fewer lenses but best of each range. Prob never happen!

Well i'm sat here all smug and happy now i have my Trinity of lenses. Off down to Dungeness on Sunday so hope to try out my new purchase.

Got a slight query about the 14-24. When comparing with the 24-70, and the 70-200, the diameter of the hole in the lens mount is significantly smaller. can anyone confirm that this is correct?i make the diameter about 25mm?
