I hope this is ok to post here. I know my better half is after a Nikon/Nikkor 17-55mm and I have been offered a mint new looking UK one for £600. I just wanted to know if that's a sensible price before I spend the cash.

£600 is perfectly reasonable, especially for a minter. Just got a s/h one myself recently and paid slightly higher. No complaints. :D
