Nikkor lens hood

I've lost the lens hood for my nikkor 35mm f1.8 lens and I've noticed in a few of my pictures recently a green flaring which I'm putting down to shooting outside in bright daylight without the hood.

Its a 52mm sized lens, im just wondering will any 52mm fitting lens hood do as a replacement, or are they made specifically for different lenses?

I don't know if they really matter but you can pick them up for like £10, it's a HB-46 hood.
