Nikon 1:4 tc III

Hi, is the new nikon 1:4tc III compatible with the Nikon 300f4 D lens.

Edit: was thinking of a different lens, only version I and II work on the D lens. As far as I know version one is the same optically, just a different design, so any of the 2 will work well.
I used version 3 with the latest 300mm and even then I cannot see any measurable quality difference from the older teleconverter.

Thanks Michael, I have the older 300 f4 D and 1:4 tc II. I'm saving up for the newer 300 pf lens.

I suppose then another question would be does the 1:4 tc II work with the newer 300 pf lens?

According to Nikon it is.

Not sure how that works since the new lens has an electronic aperture and none of the other lenses do...

It does for sure, I use the pf with the 1.4x II
