nikon 1.8 35mm

My main photo intrests lie with my dog (whos a fab model lol).... however i have been asked to do a few family/portrait photoshoots... (all word of mouth :D ).... soo i need a different lens

I did want the 2.8 for my equestrian intrrests... but my other 2 lenses i have currently are fab for what i need especially as its all outdoor and they do actually do the job... so until october when everything goes indoors - my lenses will do.

SO! the 35mm will this be useful for portraits or familys/kids/indoors and outdoors? and im right in thinking they are generally less than £200?

Any info welcome.... :)
 
I picked up mine for £175 or so and it's a great lens. I've kept it on both indoor and out unless I really need the extra length from not being able to get quite close enough to my subject.

Superb lens, fast focus, sharp and compact. We use it to stop the punters zooming all the time with kit lenses, it get's them dancing around finding best perspective. John
