Good morning.

Has anyone yet bought the nikon 1 S2 compact camera?

Was looking for some hands on personal experiences as it states it's the entry level version of the one series but it's a lot of money for entry level in my mind considering the canon g range seems more advanced for the same price range.
(I use the canon g range - the nikon is going to be a present for my other half)

I haven't seen it in the shops locally to try it so hopefully I can get some reviews from you lovely people :)

not used the S2 did have a J1 and enjoyed it especially for video so not much help on that score but with you being a Canon user I cannot help but think that the EOS M w/ adapter bundle on WEX is the smarter choice, any reason for not considering the EOS M??

Thank you for your reply. The only reasons for going for the nikon is I am treating my other half to a compact camera. He is a nikon fan re his DSLRs and has always been interested in the nikon 1 range. I have a budget of 400 and he is very open to other suggestions so I guess it was a starting point really :)
