Has anyone ever experienced this?
I've only just noticed it myself, but it seems that the focusing on my 16-85 is far noisier than it ought to be... it's certainly a lot louder than on my 18-70, and sounds almost like there's something grinding away inside. It also seems a lot slower than it did when I first got it. Also, if I listen closely, I can hear the VR motor whirring, which I never could before...
Has anyone else noticed the same thing, and has my lens got a fault? If so, hopefully, I'll be able to exchange it at Jessops - it's not very old at all...
