Nikon 18-200 VR II kerlunk

Hi all

just picked up a new Nikon 18-200 VRII and tried a couple of shots,
first it s a lot lighter then expected. 2nd it makes a kerluck after taking a shot is that right ?

anybody know if this sounds right. I might pop in a local camera shop tomorrow to double check if nobody knows

Probably the VR mechanism, it can be a bit noisy on some lenses

I'm pretty sure it's the VR switching off. Try half pressing the shutter release and holding it for a second or two to kick in the VR, then release without taking a shot. If it still makes the noise it's the VR.

try turning the vr off if that gets rid of the noise then thats what it is.

It's the VR, my 55-200 does it.

No worries it take beauuuuuuuuuuuuuutiful images though.

yeap switch VR off and it stops

my 18-105 VR didnt do it

and it does take better photos then the 18-105 already impressed
