Nikon 18-200mm f3.5-5.6 G AF-S DX ED VR Lens

Having studied lenses for the last few days I have now narrowed it down to the above but there is also a newer lens which is the Nikon 18-200mm f3.5-5.6 G AF-S DX ED VR II Lens.

I know that the II is the more recent but is it worth the extra £100 or so and what is the difference between the two??

Nothing except the VRII has zoom lock.
