Looking to buy a new lens and have been looking at the Nikon 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR, I do a fair bit of travelling and seem to do lots on my old Tamron AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II LD which I bought a few years ago. Its not the best of quality but so far it has given me fair to decent enough results but I was thinking of upgrading and getting the Nikon 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR. I am just needing some advice from someone that has either used or owns this lens to see if it is worth buying?
I am looking to use it as a travel and walkabout lens which can handle many different situations and subjects. I have managed to sell many landscape and nature shots from my old Tamron but I am now looking for something with a better reach and better image quality. Any advice or info about this lens would be great. I have read reviews around the internet but many of them do not seem to give a great answer.
