Nikon 200-500 f/5.6E

Trustpilot reviews don't look great on that company: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/tobydeals.com

I bought my 200-500 a few years ago from HDEW as a grey import and it is supersharp throughout the range. You will need to fine tune it to your camera body, which should be standard practice anyway!

HDEW no longer supply Nikon, but there are some other good suppliers out there, such as Panamoz. Definitely shop around and i'm sure that others will be along shortly, with their suggestions.

Taken yesterday with D500, 200-500 combo at 500mm

Quite a few at TP have bought from e-infinity Nikon 200-500 £835 there.
Also quite a few Panamoz Nikon 200-500 but it's £940 there.
I bought mine from John Lewis and haven't noticed any great falloff at 500mm, even wide open at f5.6 ... it's no exotic prime equivalent but it really is very good for the money.

John Lewis is currently £1029 plus £25 for 2 years accident insurance I am sure there are voucher codes out there for JL too and the insurance says it covers worldwide too so IMO worth it if going on a trip

Where am I covered?

  • UK only for televisions
  • Worldwide on all other products for single trips of up to 30 days in any 12 month period
