Nikon 24-70mm G or non-G

I am not aware that it is produced as a non G lens. G is often called gelded and refers to the fact that it is produced without an aperturer ring and as such cannot be used manually to set aperture. Its predecessor the 28-70mm f2.8 had a aperture ring.
 
Thanks Peter, I wasn't sure - I saw one listed as a G, then the same company have another one listed without the G so I wondered if it was different. Googling wasn't much help and they're not open today to ring and ask.
 
There is no non G version of the 24-70.
