Couldn't see a great deal of hands on views of the lens. From my reading it seems like the FX equivalent of the popular DX 18-200mm but with even better performance. I am looking to travel soon and I reckon it would be a handy all in one whilst on holiday. Kenrockwell seems to compare it to some of Nikon's finest primes in terms of IQ but what have owners thought of it?

its a 10x zoom so its always going to be a compromise in terms of distortion, IQ and aperture. there is no way it will be as sharp as a prime either but should be more than good enough for most shots you would require.
