Nikon 500mm f/4 P

I have acquired a 500 f4 P lens and had a play about this afternoon in the garden,I was wondering has anyone got/had this lens before? Its a manual focus and quite old,but the results thus far are quite pleasing.It will be used for wildlife (mainly birds).I would be interested to read your comments regarding this model.

It's an excellent lens and being a P lens is easily used on all current Nikon bodies.

You'll pay a lot for an AF lens that good.
