I was using my D7500 with the Nikon 55-200 attached yesterday after turning the zoom ring down to the 55 setting the shutter would not fire and the top panel showed an 'r65' message. Moving the zoom to 7m the shutter still wouldn't fire and the r65 was still there. Once up to 80mm all was OK. As I turned the zoom back to towards 55 as the ring passed 70mm to 55mm there was a slight resistance and a click as if locking the ring at 55.I can't say I'd noticed this previously and wondered if the two issues were related.
