Hellooo
Well I've had quotes for repairing my 55-200 Nikon VR lens and they are all more than it costs new so I can't decide if I should buy a new one or go for something different like the Tamron 70-300?
I would quite like the extra reach it would give me and I've read that it can get soft at 300mm but would reducing the aperture size reduce this? The macro feature sounds useful too.
I'm strapped for cash as I only had the Nikon 55-200 for two days before I broke it so the Nikon 70-300 VR is sadly out of my reach!
Just for info sake the Nikon 55-200 still works but only at 165mm and I have a D3000.
Thanx for anyhelp!
