Does anyone have any experience with this lens?

I wouldn't normally look at Tesco for this kind of thing but I have a hundred quid in Clubcard vouchers that's burning a hole in my sideboard.

I am looking for a reasonably budget telephoto solution for my D3100. Wanting to get a bit closer to the surf action at the coast. I know ideally I need a something to 500mm but its just not happening at the moment. Any other suggestions with a built in motor considered.

Also does anyone know when I can get in the classifieds section to have a look around there?

I've got one, and it doesn't disappoint. But if you do decide to get it, spend your Clubcard vouchers on something else and get the lens for £75 less from Amazon (or almost anywhere other than Tesco).

I had a play with the Nikon AF-S VR 70-300 f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED today in Jessops and was very impressed. The VR works a treat! They wanted £449 for it and it coming in at £359 on Amazon. Mmmmm, I wonder if they take clubcard vouchers.

I have that very lens, very happy with it, certainly makes the camera heavy :)
 
Brilliant, nice find! Just ordered my 200 squids worth.

Now do I get the sb700 and the better of the above two lenses or the sb900 and the cheaper lens......?
